Important Update Regarding UnitedHealthcare Coverage

Update regarding united healthcare coverageWe want to inform you of an important change regarding our participation with UnitedHealthcare (UHC). Despite almost a year of attempted good-faith negotiations, UnitedHealthcare (UHC) has refused to agree to fair reimbursement rates that adequately covers the rising costs of healthcare and allows us to continue providing high-quality care. As a result, our contract with UHC has ended, and ORA Surgery Center is now out-of-network with UnitedHealthcare effective October 1, 2025.

This decision was not made lightly. We entered negotiations with one goal: to continue providing you with excellent care, while ensuring that we are reimbursed fairly for the services we deliver. We deeply regret the impact this decision by UnitedHealthcare may have on our patients, but we cannot continue to accept rates that do not cover the costs of providing care.

What’s Happening

ORA Surgery Center has been in ongoing negotiations with UnitedHealthcare (UHC) to update reimbursement rates that reflect the rising costs of delivering care. Unfortunately, UHC has not agreed to necessary adjustments, and the current rates are no longer sustainable for our practice.

If an agreement is not reached, ORA Surgery Center may become out-of-network with UnitedHealthcare effective October 1, 2025.
